ELECTRA BUSINESS & INNOVATION AWARD WINNERS

Directors Dylan Majurey, Whena Rikihana and Esekia Faiga receiving one of the night’s two awards at the Electra Business & Innovation 2026 Awards.

We are incredibly proud to share that Pou Architecture has been recognised at the 2026 Electra Business & Innovation Awards, taking home both:

  • Small Business of the Year

  • Professional & Business Services or Technology Business of the Year

Receiving even one award is a significant achievement. To be recognised in two categories is both humbling and inspiring for our team.

As a Māori and Pasifika-led architectural practice, this milestone means far more than a trophy on a shelf. It represents the collective effort, resilience, and belief that has fuelled our journey since Pou Architecture was established. From our beginnings as a small whānau-founded practice, we have remained committed to creating architecture that is grounded in people, culture, community, and place.

Over the past few years, our team has worked tirelessly to deliver meaningful projects throughout Aotearoa, ranging from homes and commercial developments through to marae, community facilities, churches, and cultural projects. This recognition reflects not only the quality of our work, but also the values that guide how we work.

Most importantly, these awards belong to more than just our staff.

We would like to acknowledge our incredible team, whose passion, dedication, creativity, and commitment continue to drive Pou Architecture forward every day. We are equally grateful to our clients, consultants, contractors, communities, whānau, friends, and supporters who have trusted us, championed us, and walked alongside us throughout this journey.

Your support has played a significant role in helping us reach this milestone.

The Electra Business & Innovation Awards showcased an exceptional group of businesses from across Kapiti and Horowhenua, and we were honoured to stand alongside so many talented organisations. Congratulations to all finalists and winners on the night. The calibre of businesses represented reflects the innovation, resilience, and entrepreneurial spirit that exists throughout our region.

While we are proud of this achievement, we see it as a milestone rather than a destination. We remain committed to delivering thoughtful, culturally grounded architecture that strengthens communities, celebrates identity, and creates lasting impact for future generations.

Ngā mihi nui to everyone who has been part of our journey so far. We look forward to what comes next.
